C:Using the Card

Q:Where can I use the Card?
You can redeem your rewards in a number of different ways - in store, online, or by phone.  Some rewards are available as gift certificates or vouchers that will be mailed or sent by courier to your home.

Q:Can this card be used outside of Canada?
Yes.  The Ford of Canada Visa® Prepaid Card is supported and can be used within Canada, the 50 United States, District of Columbia and U.S. Territories.  You can use the Card at selected merchants in the U.S.A. You may also shop online with certain merchants. Please remember that purchases made at these participating merchants will be made in U.S. funds. You are responsible for additional charges such as duty, brokerage, etc. Your points will be converted into Canadian dollar amounts by VISA in accordance with its policies and practices, using the currency conversion rate in effect at the time of your transaction, and will be recorded on your Transaction Summary.

Q:How do I use the Card?
You can use your Card to shop in person at most, but not all the select retail merchants displayed on this web site.  When shopping at merchants that accept the Card, the Card can be used for rates or promotions that are publicly advertised or available to the general public. If you are shopping in person, the store attendant will swipe your Card at the point of sale. Your Card may also be used to shop online with certain merchants. You can link to the web sites of many merchants from this site. In some instances, but not all, you can order from these web sites by referencing your Card number. Individual retail merchant descriptions on this site will tell you when and how you can use your Exclusively YOURS Card number to redeem directly on a merchant's web site. Note that procedures may vary amongst the merchants that accept the Cards.

Q:Can I use my Card at a merchant who is not on the merchant listing?
If you attempt to use your Card with a merchant who does not accept the Card or is not participating in the program, the purchase will be declined.  To shop at merchants that do not accept the Card directly, you must purchase gift certificates. You can then redeem the gift certificates at these merchants.

Q:Can I use another form of payment when making a purchase?
Select reward categories of interest to you from the buttons on the left-hand side of the home page.
As you redeem your points for rewards, they will automatically be deducted from your Card.  Remember, one point equals one Canadian dollar of purchasing power. If you do not have enough points for your reward selection, you can often use another form of payment to cover the difference. When redeeming, you will be advised of acceptable payment alternatives.

Q:How can I use my Card for hotel bookings?
Contact the specific hotel featured on this web site at the toll-free number listed, to confirm your reservation. Please keep in mind that you cannot use your Card to guarantee a reservation for late arrival, or to secure incidental charges upon check-in, as this may place a hold on your Card points for several days. Instead, please use your personal credit card. When you check in, please indicate that you will be using the Exclusively YOURS Card. Charge food, beverages and other incidentals to your room, and pay those charges in one transaction using the Exclusively YOURS Card upon checkout. Know the number of points on your Card, so if your points will not cover the bill, you can supplement payment with a personal credit card, cash or cheque. Note that supplemental payment procedures may vary amongst the merchants that accept the Exclusively YOURS Card.
Please note that, although the Exclusively YOURS Card is accepted for weekend or discounted packages, it cannot be used for group, corporate or other negotiated rates.

Q:How can I use my Card for car rentals?
The Card can be used to pay directly at these rental car counters.  Please note, the Exclusively YOURS Card cannot be used at Avis or Hertz if your points are not sufficient to cover the entire bill. In the event that you want to use your points as partial payment for a car rental at Avis or Hertz, you can order gift certificates. Please refer to the individual listings for more information.

Q:What happens if I don’t have enough points on my card to cover my purchase?
If there are not enough points on the card to cover the purchase amount, establishments will usually accept supplemental payments. Note that supplemental payment procedures may vary amongst the merchants that accept the Exclusively YOURS Card.  If you are purchasing items directly from the Exclusively Yours Rewards catalogue, supplemental payments in the form of credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, and American Express) are accepted.

C:Card Account Details

Q:How can I change my details (address, last name, etc.) on my Card?
Please contact our Customer Service Centre at 1-800-521-5707. For verification purposes, when speaking to an agent, please provide the current address on your account.  The agent will be able to update your information and reissue you a card if required.  Note, any changes to your account information should also be updated with your Program Administrator.

Q:How often will I receive points?
Point deposits depend on the individual program.  If you have questions about when you will receive points, please contact your Program Administrator.

Q:How can I find my points balance?
You can view your point balance online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Alternatively you can call Customer Service at 1-800-521-5707 to obtain your points balance.

Q:I’m missing points.
If you believe that you are missing points, please contact your Program Administrator to verify that the points you are expecting have been added to your account.  If you are indeed missing points, please contact the Customer Service Centre at 1-800-521-5707 to investigate.

Q:Do my points expire?
Points will be forfeited if they are not redeemed before the expiration date embossed on the card.  If your program is renewed, any points that were on the old card will be transferred to the new card.

Q:How can I see my transaction history?
You can view your 90-day transaction summary on the Web site (printed on the back of the Card).  If you wish to view your transaction summary for more than 90-days, you may contact the Customer Service Centre at 1-800-521-5707.

Q:I’ve returned a purchase, when will I receive the points credit on my Card?
Once a refund is complete, the funds will be placed back on your Card in approximately 7 business days.  If the funds have not been placed back on your card within this timeframe please contact the Customer Service Centre at 1-800-521-5707.

C:Card Inquiries

Q:I’ve lost my card.  How can I get a replacement card?

You can contact the Customer Service Centre at 1-800-521-5707 and speak to an agent to have your card reissued.  The first reissuance is free, subsequent reissuances of the card are $15.

 

Q:How long will it take for me to receive a replacement card?

Once your Card has been reissued it typically takes 7-10 business days for you to receive your new card.  Your Card will be mailed to the address that is on file.

 

Q:Will I receive a new card every time I receive a deposit?

No, your card is reloadable.  Funds will continue to deposit on the card you have been issued.

 

Q:My Program was renewed but I haven’t received a new card.

You may check the status of your card by contacting the Customer Service Centre at 1-800-521-5707.  An agent will be able to advise you on the status of your account as well any Cards that have been issued to you.

 

Q:Will I receive a new card if mine expires?

If your program was renewed and you had a balance on your Card at the time of the renewal, your card should be renewed.  If there were no funds on the Card, and you are still participating in the program a new Card will be issued to you once you receive a deposit of points.  If you have any questions about your program renewal, please contact your Program Administrator.
